Packing clothing and gear for your vacation in Costa Rica is based on the activities and adventures you have planned. Let us get right to the point. Keep your packing simple, slight and right. Your choice to stay at La Carolina Condo in Brasilito, Guanacaste in the northwest Pacific Coast of Costa Rica will set the stage in packing for your trip to Costa Rica. Remember – location, location, location! You will most likely be flying into Liberia International Airport and taking ground transportation to your “Home Away from Home”. In order to enjoy the fabulous Costa Rica beaches to swim, sunbathe stroll, volleyball, surfing and more will require special packing for your trip to Costa Rica:
- Day Pack
- Sunscreen & chap stick
- Shade hat, sunglasses
- Water bottle, snacks
- Insect repellent
- Bathing suit, change of clothes
- Light jacket
- Binoculars
- Camera Bag (extra batteries and film)
- Lap tops & Phone and chargers (only if needed, but why be worried about a laptop?- this is vacation time, right?)
- Always respect the posting for rip currents at particular beaches.
Guanacaste is the “Golden Coast ” and we do boast the Beaches (Playas) from La Carolina Condo at Brasilito. Here are just a few:
- Playa Flamingo: Just north of Brasilito, in the Flamingo Bay is the Catamaran Cruise. Enjoy the smooth excursion and then watch sunset and moonrise on the Crescent Moon shaped beach with soft white sand.
- Playa Conchal: The shore is comprised of small shells making it a sheltered white sandy beach with crystal clear water (la agua es aqua). Snorkeling right from the beach and Hut shopping from the locals is always fun!
- Playa Hermosa has dark sand, TEAL waters and wind protection from the jungles surrounding this beach. See locals for jungle paths.
- Playa Tamarind is great for a long walk along the shores of dark sandy beaches – great to view sunset or sunrise moments.
- On Guanacaste’s Nicoya Peninsula is the nearby Monte Verde Biological Reserve and Cloud Forest.The Monkey park is 15 minutes from the condo. Manzanillo Biological Preserve boasts warm waters for swimming – remember this as you are packing for your trip to Costa Rica.
